  • What are the benefits of online learning?
    There are many benefits to online learning: totally risk free from contracting infectious diseases including COVID-19 saves you travel time - no need to drive to the tutor no missing out on tuition due to bad weather saves you time and money - no need to pay for petrol to drive to us and you can get on with your day whilst your child is tutored you don't need to ensure your home is spotless for when the tutor visits you will receive a copy of the materials and work completed during the session soon after completion. you're not restricted by location - you can have tuition wherever you have access to WiFi / mobile data: on the beach, at a cafe, at a friend's house or relative's house - the choice is yours!
  • Do I need to provide any materials?
    Yes, only a few. Here are the essentials: * computer / laptop or tablet e.g. an iPad or other tablet that has either Chrome or Safari Apps installed (these are a free download if you do not have them). * WiFi or mobile data. Optional: * stylus to write on the tablet screen * headphones
  • I need to change my appointment time, what should I do?"
    Contact us as soon as possible to change your appointment date and time. Providing you have given at least 48 hours notice to switchedontuition@outlook.com you will not be charged. Tuition sessions are uniquely created for each student and take up to 48 hours to create which is why we charge for late cancellations.
  • How soon must I cancel my appoinment?
    To avoid being charged for missed sessions you must cancel your appointment at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment date and time.
  • How much is tuition?
    Primary School Age: £36 - Key Stage 2 (age 8 - 11 years) 45 minutes (£45 Saturday appointments) £45 - 11+ preparation - 55 minutes (£60 Saturday appointments) Secondary School Age: £45 - Key Stages 3 & 4 - 55 minutes (£60 Saturday appointments) Adults: £45 - Foundation Skills and Preparation for Numeracy Assessments at Interviews - 55 minutes (£60 Saturday appointments)
  • Do you provide guarantees?
    It is impossible to guarantee that a student will pass an exam, obtain a particular grade, pass a test, etc., as there are too many variables which can affect the outcome.
  • How do I know my child will be safe during tutoring appointments?
    Aside from zero risk of infection from COVID19 or any other infections because learning takes place online rather than face to face, Carol also holds an enhanced CRB/DBS certificate and is first aid trained.

Cancellation Policy

To avoid unnecessary charges ensure to give 48 hours' notice to cancel lessons.  Providing at least 48 hours are provided you can move lessons to a mutually convenient day and time.
